What to do during your stay at Knockaloe Beg Farm

On the farm

Our guests may have as much or little involvement on the farm as they want. We can arrange farm tours; you may help with feeding chickens, collecting eggs, grooming the Shetland ponies and watching deliveries at lambing time! And then there are orienteering courses, and our new outdoor leisure suite!  You may never want to leave the farm, but if you do…

What to do

The farm has the Isle of Man Coastal footpath running through it for 2 miles and there are countless other lovely tracks and wildlife to enjoy on foot and bike.  We have several guides, which you are welcome to borrow, and we can also provide a packed lunch. The tourist office has details on the 6 cycling trails through the islands countryside. These trails offer something for every ability.

We can arrange:
sea kayaking, rock climbing, coasteering (with Adventurous Experiences);
pony trekking
(with Ballahimmin Stables)
walks (with Go-MannAdventures.com)

The Island boasts 9 golf courses.  The closest being Peel Golf course which is a 5 minute drive away. See also: isleofmangolf.im

Basking Shark, Wildlife trips and trips to the Calf of Man are available with Mike Keggin and depart from Pt St Mary Harbour.  You will experience some of the best coastal scenery, and see a host of marine life from basking sharks to sea birds. See also manxseafishing.com

The House of Mannanan is located in Peel on the quayside and is where you can learn, through state of the art techniques, about the Island’s rich Celtic, Viking and Maritime past.  In fact Peel has 5 museums to visit!
